Regular inspection of the teeth and gums helps identify where cleaning is least effective.

Flossing is an essential part of the tooth-cleaning process because it removes plaque from between teeth and at the gumline, where periodontal disease often begins. If you find using floss awkward or difficult, why not try using a pre-strung flosser or one of our holders.

Interdental brushes are consdiered to be the most effective and easiest method of cleaning interproximal spaces i.e. between the teeth. The fine nylon filaments will remove plaque from around the tooth surface at the gingival margin and from around pockets.

Interspace brushes are considered by periodontists to be essentail for the effective cleaning around the gum margin. The recommended method of use is to splay the filaments by gently pushing them against the tooth surface and the sweeping under the gum margin.
